Philadelphia Union esports gamer Cormac "Doolsta" Dooley will be looking for another top finish as Major League Soccer announced details eMLS League Series Two, the next event on the calendar.
The final tuneup for eMLS Cup will take place on Sunday, February 17 at the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Frisco, Texas. After the top 22 games from the Eastern and Western Conference battle it out, the doors will open at 4:30 p.m. CT for fans to see the top four gamers from each conference battle for the top prize.
Each of the 22 players representing an MLS team will compete in a round-robin regular season before the League Series Two live stream begins. Just like in soccer across the globe, players will earn three points for a win, one for a tie and zero for a loss. The top four gamers in each of the Eastern and Western Conferences will then advance to compete for the title – and a $5,000 prize in the live streamed, single-elimination tournament.
In addition to advancement in League Series Two, the points earned that day will have a larger bearing on players' positioning for eMLS Cup. The five players with the most accumulated points across League Series One and Two, as well as the eMLS Cup regular season, will be seeded into the eMLS Cup finals bracket, while the final seed will be reserved for the winner of the Last Chance Bracket featuring remaining players.
Fans wanting to take in the live stream portion of the contest are encouraged to RSVP and can do so here. There will also be free food and beverages, receive exclusive eMLS merchandise and be able to create personal FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) cards.
