Philadelphia Union announced today that Daniel Gazdag has received an international call-up for Hungary ahead of 2022 World Cup Qualifier matches. The midfielder is part of seven call-ups in October which include , , and . These call ups come in addition to Paxten Aaronson, Jack McGlynn and Quinn Sullivan receiving call ups to the U-20 USMNT training camp in Celaya, Mexico where they will compete in the Revelations Cup in preparation for the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship.
Gazdag returns to the Hungarian National Team for their pair of matches in the group stage of the European qualifiers. Gazdag has earned nine caps, and most recently joined the squad this past October. In his six appearances, Gazdag has scored one goal in a World Cup qualifying match against Andorra on March 31, 2021. Hungary will play against San Marino (Nov. 12, 2:45 p.m.) and Poland (Nov. 15, 2:45 p.m.).
