CHESTER, Pa. (November 5, 2021) – Three Philadelphia Union Homegrowns, Paxten Aaronson, Jack McGlynn, and Quinn Sullivan, have been called in to the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team camp ahead of the Revelations Cup in Celaya, Mexico from Nov. 7-17. The U-20’s will play at Miguel Alemán Valdés Stadium where they face Brazil (Nov. 10), Columbia (Nov. 13), and Mexico (Nov. 16).
The Revelations Cup, an international soccer tournament organized by the Mexican Football Federation for men's U-20 national teams, is a round robin tournament comprised of four teams. This will serve as the first training camp of the cycle for the U-20’s as they prepare for the 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which will also serve as qualification for the FIFA U-20 World Cup and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Previously, Aaronson and McGlynn have been called up to the U-14 and U-16 YNT squads, while this is Sullivan’s first call up. Aaronson last received an invitation to the U-16 National Team talent identification training camp in Chula Vista, California in Sept. 2019. McGlynn last received a call up in Nov. 2019 where the U-16 National Team was crowned champions of the 2019 Nike International Friendlies in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
All three players will depart immediately following the Union’s final regular season match against NYCFC on Sunday, Nov. 7.
