Philadelphia Union came into the 2019 season a deep bench of strikers. That depth is already going to be tested this weekend now that Sergio Santos and Kacper Przybylko are out injured. The Union will also be without Fabinho on Sunday after the fullback picked up a left ankle sprain in training.
Santos is officially out with a left quad strain that will sideline him for a month, an injury Jim Curtin narrowed down to the hip flexor region in his midweek press conference. Przybylko has fractured a toe after starring in Bethlehem Steel's season-opening win over Birmingham Legion last weekend.
Beyond those injuries, the Union are also missing Marco Fabián this weekend due to a red card suspension following the playmaker's leap to avoid a late Johnny Russell tackle in Kansas City.
The Union and Atlanta will both be looking for their first wins of the season when they face off at 7:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 17 on PHL17.
