As part of Giving Tuesday, Philadelphia Union and Sharing Excessed worked together to distribute Giving Bags and rescued food for those in need in our region.
Members of the Philadelphia Union front office packed 200 giving bags which were filled with daily necessities to improve hygiene, nourishment, and prevent colds during the Winter months. With supporter from U-Serve members, the club collected an additional 100 giving bags that were handed out for free.
On Tuesday afternoon the Union and Sharing Excess set up in Malcolm X Park in West Philadelphia to hand out the items including 1,500 of rescued food proved by Sharing Excess which were given out in under two hours by those in need.
