Philadelphia Union esports competitor ThiagoCapo12 picked up a pair of wins for the first night of online qualifiers in eMLS League Series 2 presented by Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.
With a difficult slate for night one, Thiago found himself on the losing end of his opener against Austin FC by a 3-1 result but regained momentum with a 5-2 victory over Orlando City SC. The competition jumped to a new level over the next three contests as he took on three of the four semifinalists from League Series 1 including the champion Paulo Neto of Atlanta United FC. In the grudge match it was ThiagoCapo12 coming out with all three points with a commanding 5-3 victory. After suffering a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Nashville SC, Thiago bounced back with a 1-1 draw against the other LS1 finalist, Minnesota United's Lamps. The first night of the competition ended with plenty of work to do however, suffering a loss to Sporting Kansas City to find himself eight points out from a Top 4 spot.
