Regional 1 of the Union Esports Open, presented by Independence Blue Cross and powered by N3rd Street Gamers, took place at YSC Sports today.
Gamers competed in the first installment of the tournament in group stage format, followed by a single elimination round to determine the Top 16 gamers in the region. The 16 players that have earned a spot in the Finals on March 4th from Regional 1 are listed below:
More details about the Finals on March 4th to come. The overall winner of the Final Event will receive the opportunity to represent the Philadelphia Union and a paid trip to compete in eMLS Cup at PAX in Boston April 5-8th. Two (2) competitors from eMLS Cup will be selected to progress to EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs on the road to eWorld Cup.
In addition, the Grand Prize representative will win:
- A weekend trip for two (2) at Union Pre-Season in Clearwater, FL in 2019
- 2018 Union first team personalized kit
- Tickets to see the Union play at home in 2018
