Philadelphia Union announced the signing of Jeffrey Acevedo (JisForJeff) as the club’s second official representative for eMLS Cup. JisForJeff, the 20-year-old gamer, competed in the Union Esports College Clash presented by Independence Blue Cross, powered by N3rd Stree Gamers which consisted of 64 players from college campuses. He was crowned the event’s grand prize winner after battling through some of the toughest FIFA 19 players on the east coast.

Jeffrey Acevedo’s connection to soccer began when he was only three years old and landed him the opportunity to play collegiately at Concordia College of New York. After a groin injury ended his playing days, JisForJeff rededicated himself to school and turned to FIFA for competitive thrills.
When FIFA 18 came out, JisForJeff began his climb amongst the top gamers in the United States, collecting numerous top 100 finishes. Following the release of FIFA 19, he hit top 100 in the opening week with a record of 29-1 which earned him a spot in the qualifiers of the FIFA 19 World Series.
JisForJeff brings a calm and composed attack to the sticks, playing natively on PlayStation. The Arsenal, Real Madrid and Philadelphia Union fan has his sights set on qualifying for a spot in the FIFA 19 Global Series alongside gaming teammate Doolsta.
