2018 (Philadelphia/Bethlehem): McGuire did not appear for Philadelphia in 2018. He served as John McCarthy's backup for the match vs. Sporting KC (September 23). For Bethlehem Steel FC, he made 21 regular-season appearances (21 starts) in goal. He was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 22 and started Steel FC's postseason matches at Pittsburgh (October 20) and at Louisville (October 27).

2017 (Philadelphia/Bethlehem): McGuire did not appear in a regular-season match for Philadelphia in 2017. After originally being selected by the Houston Dynamo in the Second Round (30th overall) of the 2017 MLS SuperDraft, McGuire was waived on March 6, 2017 and subsequently selected off waived and signed by the Union on March 10, 2017. For Bethlehem Steel FC, McGuire made 22 regular-season appearances (22 starts) in goal, with five shutouts and one assist. He kept a clean sheet during his first professional appearance, against FC Cincinnati (April 9) and notched an assist vs. Pittsburgh (September 24).. He started the club's playoff match at Louisville (October 22).

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

McGuire played for four seasons at Tulsa, where he was named to the NSCAA Third-Team All-East Region and the American Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team during his senior season. The goalkeeper appeared in 67 games for Tulsa and tallied 17 shutouts during his collegiate career.  Previously, McGuire spent time in the U.S. Youth National Team U17 Residency Program and also as a member of the Chivas USA Academy.

Away from the game, McGuire is a mini golf enthusiast, an activity that he says he likes to do with his fiancee. He is a fan of Jason Aldean's music and Will Ferrell's movies. If he weren't a professional soccer player, he would like to try his hand at sports commentating. Growing up, he liked to watch fellow goalkeepers Edwin van der Sar and Joe Hart play.
