After nearly a month of no action, Philadelphia Union II returns to USL Championship action with a home match against Atlanta United 2. The closed-door match at Subaru Park is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The last time Union II took to the pitch they were were victorious with a 3-2 win over rival New York Red Bulls II. Under the direction of interim Head Coach Marlon LeBlanc, Union II's youngest starting XI found the back of the net from its youngest players with Patrick Bohui scoring the quickest goal in club history and Jack Jasinski becoming the youngest goalscorer in club history with his second-half winner.
Similar to how Union II operates, Atlanta United 2 also serves as the next step in the development process for the Georgia franchise. The club sits in third place in Group F with just one win and three draws in its 11 matches this season. The team comes to Subaru Park off a 2-1 setback against the Tampa Bay Rowdies. The offense is boasted by the Eastern Conference's third leading goalscorer in forward Amadou Diop's five goals but the club has yet to find success away from its home ground with just one draw in six road matches. Goalkeeper Ben Lungaard has been tested often in 2020 with his 42 saves tied for the most in the league.
