Today's UNIBET Day in Union history came just two years ago, Philadelphia Union announced the acquisition of forward Sergio Santos from Chilean club Audax Italiano.
Bringing to the club a famous smile that can light up a room, Santos has been lighting up opposing defenses since he broke into form for the Boys in Blue midway through the 2019 season. After batting some early injuries, Santos found a strong chemistry with fellow forward Kacper Przybylko and it paid off in the Union's big victory over Atlanta United FC
Expectations were set high for Santos as the 2020 campaign began and it would be Santos' just building off his finish from last year. At LAFC, Santos opened the scoring with a rocket. After a long layoff, Santos took over at the MLS is Back Tournament with three goals and an assist to help the Boys in Blue advance to the semifinals. And then in a top of the table clash, Santos delivered the fourth hat-trick in Union history as the club routed Toronto FC, 5-0.
Overall, Santos has scored 12 goals and added three assists in MLS regular season action.
