Philadelphia Union II defender Frankie Westfield has received a callup for the U.S. Under-20 Men's Youth National Team's upcoming training camp in Chile.

U.S. Under-20 Men’s Youth National Team will visit FIFA U-20 World Cup host Chile for friendly matches on Oct. 12 and 15 during a training camp in Santiago from Oct. 7-15. Both matches will be played at Complejo Deportivo Quilin, Chile’s national training center. After leading the U.S. Olympic Men’s Soccer Team to the quarterfinals at this summer’s 2024 Paris Olympics for the first time since 2000, Marko Mitrović will serve as head coach for then U-20 Men’s Youth National Team.

A vice captain for Union II in 2024, Westfield has had a breakout season which earned him his first professional contract on July 5th. The outside back helped lead Union II to its best finish in club history and the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs with career highs in both goals (6) and assists (6).

Westfield joins an ever growing list of U.S. National Team Callups in October with teammate Neil Pierre and Union homegrowns Andrew Rick and David Vazquez all called in for the U.S. Under-19 Men's Youth National Team for their upcoming training camp in Valencia, Spain.
