PHILADELPHIA UNION - NORTH JERSEY SUMMER SELECT 2025 - OPEN TO BOYS & GIRLS (U8-U18)

The Philadelphia Union is proud to bring its second year of Summer Select to North Jersey. Our summer select program allows youth players to showcase their skills and represent the Philadelphia Union in two EDP summer tournaments. Our 2025 North Jersey Summer Select will train in Pottersville, NJ.

  • This Summer Select program is open to all travel players.
  • Registered players will be evaluated at our ID session.
  • ID session attendance is mandatory for accurate evaluation and team placement.
  • At least one team per age group will be accepted into the program.
  • Teams will practice twice a week for 3 weeks and play in 2 EDP tournaments.

This union youth prestigious program registration cost is an "all in fee" that covers:

  • 2 Summer tournaments coached by union youth coaches.
  • 6 Training sessions with union youth coaches.
  • Union player pack: 2x Jerseys, 1x shorts, 1x socks.
  • Professional, challenging and engaging environment.
  • Developmental curriculum aligned with the union academy.
  • Coaching delivered by the professional union youth coaching staff.
  • Entertaining and energetic activities designed to create a unique and memorable experience.

WHY ID SESSIONS?

  • Separate ID Sessions for BOYS and GIRLS
  • Evaluations allow us to accurately assess and place players in teams.
  • Keeping players in a competitive environment is crucial for their development.
  • Players not selected for a team after the ID Sessions will be placed on our waitlist and may be invited to join if a player drops.

PROCESS:

  1. Registration for the ID Session is $10. REGISTRATION CLOSES January 4th, 2025.
  2. Attend the ID Session to be evaluated.
  3. Receive communication about tryout results.
  4. Selected players can register through daysmart on the "Philadelphia Union Summer Select 2025" Pay: $500.
  5. Attend as many of the 6 scheduled training sessions as possible.
  6. Participate in 2 summer tournaments.
  7. Communicate with the Program Director if you are unable to attend any events.

PRACTICES: 51 Pottersville Road, Pottersville, NJ 07979

  • Teams will have 6 practices throughout the 3-week program.
  • Teams will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • FIRST practice is Monday, July 7th. FINAL practice is on Thursday, July 24th.
  • Individual team practice times and dates will be announced once teams are formed.

TOURNAMENTS:

  • July 12th-13th - EDP Central Jersey Invitational - Multiple locations.
  • July 26th-27th - EDP Summer Sizzler - Tuckahoe Turf Farms, Hammonton NJ
