Ahead of the club's 2021 Major League Soccer debut against Columbus Crew SC, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the status of the squad.

“Sergio I thought did great in the short time that he got [against Deportivo Saprissa]. He showed how dangerous he can be really quickly so he’ll be back with the group and obviously available for selection with Columbus."
Rest of the Forwards Group
"Ilsinho and Cory [Burke] won’t quite make this game but they should return fully to training when we return from Columbus which is really encouraging. That will be two great pieces to get back and make us more deep as a roster. Jack de Vries still remains out with a concussion and I believe that is all our injuries. We got through both legs fairly healthy which is important but we are excited with where we are at right now."
