Ahead of the club's midweek road match at FC Cincinnati on Wednesday, Philadelphia Union Head Coach Jim Curtin provided an update on the injury status of the squad.
Jack Elliott
“It's a shame with Jack because he was playing so well and I was just out on the field with him and it is positive to see him being able to sprint and open up in a straight line but still the change in direction stuff is a little bit off. I think it will be tight for Jack to be available off the bench for Miami but not impossible because he is getting closer. The good news is we have the game against Miami and then a week window and not another Wednesday game coming up."
Kai Wagner
“He just went through full training and he's trained now fully with this being the second day in a row. I don't think he'll be available to start against Cincinnati but there will be discussions right now with how he responded today about him possibly being on the bench and I think certainly fully available against Miami."
Ray Gaddis
“He just felt a little bit in his hamstring and it wasn't bad but it just concerned him a bit. He's been an anchor us and he's played a ton of minutes and he knows his body well. I think he could have played and if it's a playoff game then he's in against Montreal but with the way Matt [Real] and [Olivier] Mbaizo is playing, we saw it as a window to get him rest and get him ready for Cincinnati. You'll see him out there in this game back and fully fit."
