Philadelphia Union announced today that Daniel Gazdag has received an international call-up for Hungary ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window. The midfielder is part of numerous call-ups from the club which includes: Tai Baribo (Israel) and Danley Jean Jacques (Haiti). The group is also joined by the homegrown duo of Andrew Rick and David Vazquez who have been called in for the U.S. Under-19 Men’s Youth National Team Camp.
Gazdag returns to the Hungarian National Team for a pair of UEFA Nations League matches. With 26 international caps and four goals to his name, Gazdag continues to be a key player for Hungary. Earlier this year, he made history as the first active Philadelphia Union player to be named to a UEFA Euro roster, featuring in Hungary's group stage match against Germany. Hungary will play matches against the Netherlands (Oct. 11, 2:45 p.m.) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Oct. 14, 2:45 p.m.).
