Philadelphia Union announced today that Daniel Gazdag has received an international call-up for Hungary ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window. The midfielder is part of eight call-ups in September which include Andre Blake (Jamaica), Jose Martinez (Venezuela), Olivier Mbaizo (Cameroon) in addition to Paxten Aaronson, Jack McGlynn, Quinn Sullivan, and Brandan Craig receiving call ups to the U-20 USMNT.
Gazdag returns to the Hungarian National Team for the second round of the UEFA Nations League. Gazdag has earned 15 caps, and most recently joined the squad in June. In his 15 appearances, Gazdag has scored four goals in World Cup qualifying matches against Andorra (Mar. 31, 2021), San Marino (Nov. 12, 2021), Poland (Nov. 15, 2021), and England (Jun. 14, 2022). Hungary will play against Germany (Sep. 23, 2:45 p.m.) and Italy (Sep. 26, 2:45 p.m.).
