A graduate of Salesianum High School and Mount Saint Mary’s University, Dick began his real estate career with Patterson Schwartz and AssociatesRealtors in 1961 and worked his way all the way from salesman to it’s President and CEO before retiring in 2012. He served as Chairman for many organizations including the New Castle County Board of Realtors, the Dozen and The Realty Alliance as well as Board of Directors for TReND(the Delaware Valley regional MLS, the Nemours Board of Directors and the Advisory Council for Nemours Health & Prevention Services from it’s inception.
Dick also has an active role with the Nemours Fund for Children’s Health serving as co-chariman of the Capital Campaign for the expansion of the Nemours Alfred I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in Delaware. In 2006 Mr. Christopher was Co-Chairman for the Capital Campaign for Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County.
He has been on the Board of the Catholic Diocese Foundation and the Catholic Diocese’s Finance Council and Chairman of the Annual Campaign and was Chairman of Saint Ann’s Parish Council, it’s Finance Committee and a Co- Chairman of the Capital Campaign for Saint Ann’s School. He has been a member of The Saint Patrick’s Day Society, which raises money annually for The Saint Patrick’s Senior Center. He is member of the Board of The Friends of # 107 Colored School and the Development Committees of Urban Promise , Habitat for Humanity of New Castle County and The Precision Institute while also serving as a volunteer for City Fare Meals on Wheels.
