Philadelphia Union II announced today that CJ Olney has received an international call-up for the United States Under-19 Men's Youth National Team ahead of the upcoming FIFA International Window.
Olney joins Homegrown midfielder David Vazquez on the United States U19 squad for their upcoming training camp in South America from June 3-11. The U19’s are set to play Argentina (June 7) in Buenos Aires and will then travel to Montevideo to face Uruguay (June 11). This training camp marks the final preparation before the roster is selected for this summer's 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship and will determine which four nations will advance to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Olney is off to a strong start in MLS NEXT Pro play with three goals and team-high six assists in nine league appearances. The the 17-year-old showcased both skills in the club's last match on Sunday evening with a goal and two assists as Union II returned to the top of the Eastern Conference table with a 3-1 win over Columbus Crew 2.
