Philadelphia Union announced today that Daniel Gazdag has been called up by Hungary ahead of the upcoming FIFA international window. The midfielder is part of seven members of the Union to be selected this window with Gazdag joining Tai Baribo (Israel), Andre Blake (Jamaica), Jesus Bueno (Venezuela), Danley Jean Jacques (Haiti) as well as Neil Pierre (U.S. U-18) and Frankie Westfield (U.S. U-20).
Scoring a goal and registering two assists in his first three MLS matches, Gazdag returns to the Hungarian National Team for a pair of UEFA Nations League Playoff matches. Gazdag will look to add to his 27 international caps and four goals with Hungary. Hungary will play two playoff matches against Turkiye (March 20, 1:00 p.m.) (March 23, 1:00 p.m.).
