They simply could not be stopped.
After 36 minutes of play on Friday night, Julian Carranza and Alejandro Bedoya had scored four goals between them. Carranza added another after halftime to collect his first hat trick in MLS, while Bedoya finished the match with 21 career MLS goals, taking him to rarified air as a member of the 20 goal/20 assist club.
The duo were standout performers during Philly's 7-0 win over DC United, a match in which many Union players earned consideration for the league's weekly honors.
Bedoya and the rest of the Union face a quick turnaround with a Wednesday night road trip against Inter Miami. Kick off is set for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on PHL17 and PhiladelphiaUnion.com. Carranza will be unable to play against Miami due to the terms of his loan agreement.
