After helping lead Philadelphia Union Academy to its second-straight Generation adidas Cup, goalkeeper Gavin Atkinson was named the tournament's winner of the Golden Glove.
Atkinson started all seven matches for the Union U-17s and made key stops to help the squad earn its third ever GA Cup championship. No save was bigger than in the penalty kick shootout as he was called upon in round 3 to turn the momentum in favor of the Baby Snakes. After the Union were saved in the second round, Atkinson returned the favor with a reaction stop to his right to even the match at 2-2.
